Hospital Pricing and the Uninsured: Do Fair Pricing Regulations or Subsidies Matter?

This project conducts three interrelated analyses: 1) evaluates whether regulatory changes have altered hospital pricing to the uninsured; 2) analyzes the new OSHPD Fair Price database on hospital pricing policies; and 3) assesses whether disproportionate share subsidies result in lower hospital prices to the uninsured. Of particular focus will be the implications for implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
