Completed Projects

Conference Planning and Management

CCP provides conference planning and management in collaboration with multiple philanthropic and organizational partners including our current work with Blue Shield of California Foundation's Value of Prevention initiative and the California Future Health Workforce Commission's Convening to promote cross-sector partnerships and increased public and private sector investments to address health workforce challenges in the 21st Century. CCP offers program and logistics support in both projects.

Leveraging Collaboration to End Domestic Violence

CCP coordinates training, technical assistance, and convening activities in collaboration with Blue Shield of California Foundation staff and consultants for the Foundation's Leveraging Collaboration to End Domestic cohort. In addition to in-person and online training and learning, CCP helps to manage online learning platform to promote peer learning, communication, and resource sharing among the 6 grantee collaboratives.

Sacramento County Underage Substance Abuse Prevention and Education

CCP mobilizes youth and parents/adult allies to prevent alcohol, marijuana and other drug use among young people throughout Sacramento County through leadership development and education campaigns. The Center uses youth development, popular education, and community building practices to engage youth and community members to develop positive messaging and opportunities for leading prevention efforts including social media campaigns.

Immigrant Rights Advocates Retreat

CCP worked with the California Wellness Foundation staff to plan and implement a three day retreat for immigrant rights advocates and leaders for renewal, reflection about their work to address immigration issues, and re-commitment to the work moving forward in the face of challenging social and political environments and conditions.

Fee for Service Facilitation Services and Training Workshops

CCP provides facilitation services such as strategic planning and one-off trainings and workshops on a variety of topics ranging from collaborative leadership practices, Asset Based Community Development (ABCD), group facilitation, community engagement/organizing, conflict management, sustainability, and other content to promote health equity and community driven solutions. These fee based services use best practices and tested curricula and are tailored for specific audiences and conditions.

Advancing Behavioral Health Integration

CCP coordinated grantee convenings funded by Blue Shield of California Foundation to work on the Advancing Behavioral Health Integration initiative including development of website to house learning and convening resources and tools to promote cross-site learning and exchange.

Project Management for Cal Wellness' Womens Initiatives

CCP serves as project manager for Cal Wellness Foundation's Women of Color and HIV-AIDS-STIs initiative and the Re-entry women of color and Employment initiative. In this capacity, CCP supports the design of grantmaking strategies, requests for proposals, coordination of communications and program implementation activities. CCP also provided backbone support to facilitate the work of Re-entry public policy partners.

Women of Color Ending Stigma

CCP works with a coalition of women of color to design and implement the Women of Color Ending Stigma (WCES) social media campaign to prevent stigma among women of color in accessing substance use prevention and treatment services, particularly medication assisted treatment for opioid addiction. WCES is developing gender and culturally appropriate messaging and social media platforms to promote help seeking behavior and change public perception of addiction.
