#ENACTDay | #JoinTheMovement | #StayLoud
Join PHI and partners in Sacramento to support healthy food and physical activity environments in California and tell legislators that investing in health and safety now will benefit all Californians. ENACT Day focuses on learning and advocacy in the state capital as Californians come together to advocate for health equity.
ENACT Nutrition and Physical Activity Day brings community members and advocates from all over California together in Sacramento to learn about and support state policies that promote health equity through nutrition and physical activity. ENACT 2018 will also offer a greater emphasis on the intersectional character of health and nutrition than in previous years.
Join us to:
- LEARN about proposed bills before the legislature,
- NETWORK with leaders and advocates, and
- MEET with your representatives and members of the media.
ENACT Day is a great opportunity for community members, grassroots organizers, and advocates to develop their policy advocacy skills. All you need to bring is your passion, and an optional donation. Spanish interpretation, breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Wondering what ENACT Day will be like? Check out this STORIFY compilation of photos and tweets from participants in last year's event.
A limited number of travel scholarships are available. Apply here before March 1st.
Ready to register? Registration is open now and will close at the end of March (3/31/18).
