Tenth Binational Health Week

Guanajuato, Mexico

This year, the BHW will take place in 40 states in the U.S. and 3 provinces in Canada, with the participation of the consular networks in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Health Week will feature three national campaigns to promote awareness among the underserved Latino community: Obesity and Diabetes, Oral Health, and Prevention of Addictions and Gang Involvement among Adolescents. The closing event will take place in Sacramento, California (date to be confirmed).

Center for School Mental Health, 15th Annual Conference

Albuquerque, New Mexico

As the nation's premiere school mental health conference, this meeting provides numerous networking and learning opportunities for advancing the mental health of the nation's students. The intended audience for this event includes counselors, educators, family members, social workers, and other youth-serving professionals. This year's conference theme is "School Mental Health and Promoting Positive School Culture." The deadline for abstract submissions is February 8.

California Adolescent Health Conference

Oakland, CA

Hosted by the California Adolescent Health Collaborative (CAHC), this conference will highlight healthy transitions for “tweens,” teens and young adults. The meeting will be held in Oakland at Preservation Park and the First Unitarian Church. Co-sponsored by the University of California San Francisco School of Nursing, the conference will also include a Youth Track for teen health educators. CAHC welcomes proposals for presentations, which are due by March 1.
