Programs
PHI provides a full complement of administrative support to public health programs statewide, nationally and internationally. At any given time, PHI may manage up to 250 active projects. We are pleased to highlight the work of just some of our projects here. Please check back often to learn more about the accomplishments of our programs.

The recent news that a microbicide gel could simultaneously reduce the risk of HIV and genital herpes signaled more than a potential breakthrough in HIV prevention. For PHI's CAMI (Coalition Advancing Multipurpose Innovations), the findings of South African researchers represented an important example of a product that may protect women against multiple health risks associated with sexual activity--a concept the San Francisco Bay Area-based international consortium of advocates and researchers has been championing for years.
