Position Summary

The COG Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization that was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in August 2011. The Foundation provides COG’s leadership, comprised of a team of doctors, nurses, laboratory scientists and other allied professionals, the ability to direct the resources raised for childhood cancer research to the areas of highest need and opportunity. The Foundation allows philanthropic funds from individual supporters and organizations to go directly to COG and affiliated partner organizations to fund their much-needed research.

The Administrative Coordinator will act in a support role to the COG Foundation, with a primary focus on stakeholder communication and routine operations support.  The COG Foundation is based in Philadelphia, PA, however the majority of this position can be conducted in a remote environment.

Pay: $23.94 to $28.82 per hour. The typical hiring range for this position is $23.94 to $28.82 per hour. The starting wage is determined based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills and experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Respond to routine inquiries from donors via phone and email.
  • Process donor receipts and acknowledgement notices.
  • Communicate with COG member institutions regarding compliance with grants/contracts and Foundation funding.
  • Generate reports, specific data requests, and other materials for internal reporting purposes.
  • Data entry into QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Assist with accounts payable and invoicing processing and procedures.
  • Assist with annual audit procedures and compliance efforts.
  • Respond to inquiries from COG conference sponsors and attendees.
  • In-person event support and execution for COG conferences and Board meetings.
  • Planning and coordination of social media outreach efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of administrative, scheduling and clerical experience in a professional environment.
  • Strong data entry skills with high-quality performance and integrity expectations.
  • Work experience in nonprofit, medical, scientific, or health-related fields is preferred.
  • May require periodic overnight travel to COG-related conferences and meetings.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit accounting/operational regulations and procedures.
  • A strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, some proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills and professional behavior and attitude.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.

Important Information
