Alcohol Research Group (ARG) associate director Cheryl Cherpitel, DrPH, was chief editor on the first book to focus on alcohol and injuries in the Americas. Funded by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the book focuses on epidemiologic evidence from emergency room studies on alcohol and injuries as well as prevention and policy strategies for reducing alcohol-related injury.
Others from ARG who contributed to this volume are Jason Bond, Yu Ye, Rachael Korcha, Jane Witbrodt and pre-doctoral student Gabriel Andreuccetti.
"Prevention of alcohol-related injuries in the Americas: from evidence to policy action" was created under the auspices of the World Health Organization Centre on Alcohol and Injury, of which Cherpitel is director.
