Turning great ideas into healthier communities

PHI Submission to California Air Resources Board (CARB) 2013

2013 | Download

Read the Public Health Institute’s submission to the California Air Resources Board (CARB), which asks for the prioritization of funding for climate mitigation strategies with significant health co-benefits, in communities that already suffer the greatest health inequities. PHI asks that the revenue allocation process from the cap and trade program explicitly incorporate health and health equity criteria, and that CARB ensure the inclusion of public health experts in that process. PHI identifies examples of mitigation strategies with health co-benefits.
