Access Bridge

PHI’s Access Bridge improves access to evidence-based reproductive health services and advances health equity by strengthening the capacity of America’s emergency departments (EDs). Access Bridge provides evidence-based protocols, comprehensive research, peer support, and educational resources, enabling EDs to serve as effective reproductive health safety nets.
Access Bridge is an initiative of Bridge, which works to bridge emergency care and community health to create an integrated system that improves health and equity.

- Access Bridge Fellowship Program

To meet the needs of communities, ED providers need adequate resources and support, especially in environments where patients may lack access to comprehensive OB/GYN care. The Access Bridge Fellowship is a year-long program that provides fellows with tools, resources and support to implement core reproductive health services in their EDs.
- Clinical Resources for Reproductive Care in the ED
-
Access Bridge develops clinical protocols and other resources for reproductive care in emergency departments, including Medication Abortion (MAB) in the ED; Early pregnancy in the ED: Ectopic and unknown location; ED protocols for management of early pregnancy loss; and ED protocols and resources for contraception and emergency contraceptive care.
