Over the past decade, new research and technology has significantly reduced the spread of HIV worldwide. However, in many developing countries and the United States, proper access to sexual protection for women remains a grave problem.

PHI's Dr. Bethany Young Holt, Director of our CAMI Health program, is leading research on MPTs (multi-purpose prevention technologies)—health prevention that allows women to simultaneously avoid unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV.
