Bringing Together California Communities to Share Best Practices

Image for Bringing Together California Communities to Share Best Practices

By organizing convenings for learning and evaluation meetings for stakeholders from the California Endowment’s Building Healthy Communities sites, PHI’s Center for Collaborative Planning helped strengthen efforts in California’s low income communities to increase access to health care coverage and address neighborhood and school health issues.

The 100 participants learned how to plan, implement, and evaluate their local action plans, and shared evaluation and learning strategies with their colleagues and peers. Convening sessions and discussions lifted up best practices and tools that could be adapted by local learning and evaluation teams to achieve their community’s health goals.
