Providing Tools and a Framework for Community Leaders and Partnerships

In 2018, PHI’s Center for Collaborative Planning facilitated the creation of Oak Park’s Trust Advisory Committee (TAC). The TAC is comprised of community members, business leaders and staff from the City of Sacramento and the Foundation/Center, to collaborate on the best uses of the Trust for land and community development. TAC helps to seed and influence economic development for the underserved and racially diverse residents in Oak Park—residents who have experienced gentrification and racialized inequities after decades of neglect. In addition, the TAC now serves as a model framework for other cities and municipalities to benefit their underserved families and residents.
