Biography

Sheryl Verbitski is a Principal Investigator at PHI, the Director of Strategy at CAMI Health and the founder of The Full Scoop, a multi-state initiative advancing equitable, risk-aligned breast cancer screening. Her work centers on translational science that bridges evidence-informed research and real-world preventive care solutions. She specializes in transforming women’s health research in breast, gynecologic and sexual health into scalable, community-informed prevention programs that deliver measurable impact.

She holds a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Utah, where her research focused on the discovery of novel anticancer agents, and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Maryland. Dr. Verbitski brings over 25 years of cross-sector leadership spanning industry, academic, public health and nonprofit sectors. She combines scientific rigor with deep experience in program development, implementation and research translation, moving laboratory findings and clinical evidence into practical preventative interventions that improve population health outcomes.

A breast cancer survivor, Dr. Verbitski, brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. She is deeply committed to ensuring all women have access to lifesaving, evidence-based preventative care through community-ready prevention and early detection programs.
