Join PHI’s CA4Health’s Advocacy Incubator second cohort to learn how policy impacts the communities you serve and how to use advocacy as a tool to lift community voices. This Incubator is geared to support California community organizations that have limited experience with policy and advocacy. Gain key skills and knowledge that will help advance health equity and create real, lasting change for your community.

There is no cost to participate in the Incubator and the summer 2025 cohort will run from June to September 2025.

Participants of the Advocacy Incubator’s inaugural cohort will be hosting the second group. Participants will share what they have learned about how advocacy and policy impact the communities they serve and how to use advocacy as a tool to lift community voices.

Eligibility Criteria

• Located in California (organization and individual)
• Organization has limited experience to policy/advocacy work- i.e., no current policy arm in the organization or specific policy staff or less than 2-years’ experience.
• Organization must be a non-profit, community-centered, 501(c)3
• Organization is primarily focused on one or more of the following public health issues:

• • Built Environment (Active Living- greenspace, active transportation)
  • Community Safety (reducing harms of criminal/legal system)
  • Environmental Health/Justice
  • Health Equity and Racial Justice
  • Healthy Food Access
  • Mental Health
