Regional Asthma Management and Prevention Program

As the pandemic continues, people are spending more time in their homes–and housing conditions have never been more important. This is especially vital for those with asthma. Sheltering in place can mean increased exposure to indoor asthma triggers like pests and mold, while COVID safety protocols could limit or delay inspections, repairs and other services.
Join PHI’s Regional Asthma Management and Prevention (RAMP) program at the California Healthy Housing Coalition’s Virtual Annual Meeting, held on April 15-16, from 9:00am-12:30pm each day.

Gathering lessons learned over the last year of the pandemic, this year’s meeting will include sessions about the housing challenges people are facing in our communities as well as strategies that advocates, service providers, and code enforcement staff have developed to address housing issues safely. Additionally, asthma stakeholders may be interested in a presentation on housing preservation policies that can be used to improve housing conditions, a discussion on equitably electrifying buildings (including reducing the use of natural gas), and a training covering tenants’ rights and code enforcement strategies related to indoor air quality.
