Training California Community Partners to Advance Health

Image for Training California Community Partners to Advance Health

Throughout 2015, PHI’s California Convergence provided leadership training to local community partners across California, providing participants with the tools they needed to solve problems, shift systems and activate potential by community members as drivers for change.

As a result, community participants launched a successful resident exchange program in Southern California, mobilized in the Central Valley in support of Safe Routes to School legislation and to reduce the consumption of sugary beverages, and brought together students, youth and adult allies in efforts to improve health across the Far North in Mendocino, San Bernardino, and in the Central Valley.
