CAMI Health, Center on Disability
A new survey conducted by CAMI Health and the Center on Disability—both programs of the Public Health Institute—is exploring how breast health care is experienced and delivered for women with disabilities as part of a national research study.
The study focuses on:
- Breast cancer risk assessment
- Screening conversations
- Access to care
- Shared decision-making
The study is seeking perspectives from both healthcare teams and women with disabilities, and the results will be used to create provider education and training resources for more inclusive breast health care.
Participant Survey: Breast Health and Disability-Inclusive Care
The brief survey (10-20 minutes) will ask about demographics, provider attitude and overall experience talking about breast cancer screening. This survey is for women with disabilities and health conditions ages 18-74.
Definition of Disability: Any physical, sensory, cognitive or mental health condition that substantially limits one or more major life activities (consistent with the ADA). This includes but is not limited to mobility impairments, visual or hearing impairments, intellectual disabilities, autism and mental health conditions.
