Apply: Childhood Cancer & the Environment Program Scholars

Childhood Cancer & the Environment Program (CCEP) Scholars prepares early and mid-career pediatric oncologists to integrate environmental health into pediatric cancer care and survivorship. The program will connect leading researchers and clinicians working in childhood cancer and the environment with the goal of providing meaningful leadership and implementation experience. Travel, lodging and meals will be covered and $5,000 will be awarded to each participant upon completion of the program to support on-going implementation.

The hybrid program will be held January–July 2027, including:

• 2-day in-person kickoff workshop January 11-13, 2027
• Peer mentoring & project coaching
• Monthly 1-hour virtual sessions (weekends or weekday evenings)
• Focused projects will advance integration of EH at scholars’ institutions (e.g., fact sheets, grand rounds, EHR dot phrases, screening question integration)
• Scholar project can meet MOC Part IV requirements

All scholars also will be eligible for travel funding to participate in the Childhood Cancer Prevention Symposium May 5-7 at Emory University/Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
